Markus Valoaho

Still after more than 20 years in strategy consulting Markus continues to be intrigued by solving client’s challenges with the exceptional colleagues. His career covers a wide range of industries and topics. Over the years he has been driving, for example, commercial excellence, performance management and scenario strategies in manufacturing and service industries. Markus joined August in 2003. He holds a master’s degree in Engineering Physics and Mathematics.

Most of the free time Markus spends in his family’s ‘ranch’ outside Helsinki region in various daily activities. Together with his wife they have school aged daughter and son. Family has also a dog, a cat, two horses and a pony. Thus, plenty of activities are ongoing all the time. Markus is a capable horse rider and show jumping is his favorite hobby.

Markus likes to brave by extending strategy consulting into new territories: lately this has meant utilizing new advanced analytics methods in different business questions.
